How to prepare for Christmas in Egypt?

I couldn't find out, what Saro or Saru for a plant is. Even my Egyptian friends didn't know. If you know, what Amir means ... Let me know, if you know more!

But we decided to go a second time (after three days) to find it out.

Update: Most probably the Saro is a Cupressus. So, also a kind of Christmas tree ;)

Anyway: in my first year in Egypt I misst Christmas a lot. I am a totally Christmas woman. Also last year I missed a bit the typical Christmas feeling, even if I backed cookies and celebrate the day itself with friends. But yeah. A Christmas tree is the best way to celebrate Christmas (if he had still his roots).

Anyway ... We have still time ;)

Is it time to change?

The main goal of the changing of the time is to save energy. Especially in Egypt during the summer time they have sometimes really problems to produce enough energy for all the houses. So, sometimes they have a lack of electricity, because everybody has his air conditioner on. But in Europe I heard that especially the...

I like almost everything in Dahab. But there is one thing, I don't like. It is that always friends are leaving. You had an intensive time ... and then you have to say good bye.
