The Habiba Lodge is such a calm down place. As soon I am arrived I thought...I just want to stay.

Maged does also the Lodge's build as sustainable as possible. So he is in contact with Egyptian house builders, who are using sustainable and environment friendly materials. But what is one of the best things: even Maged is an Egyptian an has a big vision - he keeps the heritage of the bedouins.

He is someone, who wants to learn in all directions. He brings to the bedouins a new kind of knowledge, and he gets back their old wisdom about living with the nature.

We drove this day from Addis Abeba to Bahir Dar - start was again 4:30 in the morning. The streets are more worst then in Egypt and I see the first time a lot of shanties everywhere. So I realized fast, that Ethiopia is much more poor then Egypt. But: The country it self is so clean and the people have realy a look...

The Oasis is called: "Ayn Khudra"  what means "Green eye". Of course, if you go in the desert it is better to wear a longer dress and something on your head, because of the sun. I guess, the Bedouins are living more healthy than me, even if they put a lot of sugar in their tea.
